Sumitra Mahila College

Sumitra Mahila College is a premier institution for girls and well known in the region for its value based education, quality teaching and discipline. This college was established in 1984, and is running under governing body constituated under Bihar State Universities Act 1976. This college is situated in Dumraon town under Buxar district near Raj High School, Dumraon. It runs the courses in arts and science streams from intermediate to degree (Hons.) level. The college was earlier affiliated with MAGADH UNIVERSITY (BODHGAYA), and now under affiliation of Veer kunwar singh university, Ara. Presently total numbers of students is 4234. The college has near about 5 Acres of land area and double storey building in a lush green area. The students of the college has to come in the uniform. The college has quality teaching staff and provides bus for safe transportation of girls. The college provides facilities of extra curricular activities including Sports, Music, N.S.S., N.C.C. etc. The college has well furnish library as well as well equipped laboratories.
